Hiya!
I'm Adrian.
I'm an avid reader, lifelong mystery lover, and aspiring author.
Growing up, I spent countless hours watching Murder, She Wrote with my grandma and read any mystery series I could get my hands on from Cam Janesn to The Boxcar Children.
Fast forward to 2020. I was living alone in a 200-square-foot studio apartment in Asbury Park, NJ during the pandemic. I was living hours away from my nearest family. Unable to go anywhere, I found a joyful respite in cozy mystery novels, allowing myself to be transported to coffeeshops, bookstores, and other cozy locations I couldn't visit in person. I made friends with the amateur sleuths and quirky cast of characters in the long-running series I was devouring.
As much as I fell in love with the genre, I quickly realized that it was rare to see a character like me—a gay man—represented on the page, especially as a protagonist. So I set out to write my first mystery, for which I'm currently seeking representation.
I am a student in author Ellie Alexander's Mystery Series Masterclass. In college, I was active with my university's literary journal, Tobeco, for which I served as Marketing Chair. I was also awarded with two scholarships while in school to attend the Chautauqua Writers' Festival at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautuaqua, NY, in which I participated in writing workshops in 2016 and 2017.
When I'm not writing or revising a manuscript, I enjoy reading (of course!), taking long walks, listening to live music, and tasting new craft cocktails in my chosen hometown of Asbury Park, NJ, which inspired the fictional town Emory Park, prominently featured in my first novel.
